Two ways to get your printable PDF
1. Auto-filled (recommended). Answer the questions in the generator above and download a completed, print-ready document: vehicle description, both parties, the price written out in words, the federal odometer disclosure where it applies, and signature blocks. Two identical copies in one PDF, one for each party.
2. Blank template. Prefer to fill it in with a pen at the point of sale? Download a clean blank version with empty lines for every field:
Printing tips that save a second trip
- Letter size, portrait. The PDF is formatted for standard US letter paper; print at 100% scale, not "fit to page".
- Print both copies. The file contains a seller's copy and a buyer's copy. Both parties sign both pages in ink.
- Blue or black ink. Registration counters prefer original ink signatures; avoid signing photocopies.
- Check the notary rule. Louisiana, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, West Virginia and sometimes Maryland expect notarized transfers. Select your state in the generator and it adds the notary block automatically.
Official state forms, auto-filled
Selling in Florida or New York? Instead of a generic document you can print the official state form, filled from the same answers: Florida HSMV 82050 or the New York DMV MV-912. Both are free too.
